From Successful but Stressed to Faithfully Flourishing!

“Is it ever enough?”  she said aloud to her friend, but she was really asking herself the question.

That one question began a year of soul searching for my first client.

That client had just wrapped up her best year in her business, but something felt off. She said she felt “angst” and didn’t think she belonged in that role anymore. This surprised her as she always considered her current career a lifetime career!  Deep inside, she knew it was time for a change. She didn’t know WHAT that change should be.

When she reached out, we began the journey towards discovering her calling.  Or, as some clients call it, her “what’s next.”

The first step I had her take was to pull out her Clifton Strengths 34 report and review it.  She was already familiar with Clifton Strengths, but I wanted her to dive back into who she was called to be.  I reminded her that her report held clues. I asked her to think about these questions as she reviewed her report:

  • What talents did God gift her with?

  • Was she using them?

  • What was missing in her life to make her feel fulfilled?

The next step was a journaling exercise; I asked her to think about her core values, her little girl dreams, and her future self.  She spent time journaling and reminded herself what really mattered and what she wanted her future to look like.

After that, we spent time talking about her lifestyle dreams.  I had her think about her future life and how she wanted to design it.  We worked through how, when, and even where she wanted to work.

By now, she was starting to see that her current career didn’t fit her future goals and dreams.  But she still didn’t have clarity on WHAT to do next.  I just suggested she look for signs, watch for the clues, and let her calling reveal itself to her.  Sure enough, when March 2020 hit and Covid shut down the world, she found herself guiding and coaching her friends who were business owners.  She found giving strategies and support when they were scared and worried about keeping their livelihood going came easy for her.  THIS was her calling!

She’s still trying to put all the pieces of her life’s calling puzzle together.  She has the main framework and most of the big pieces in place.  I’m thrilled to say she’s happy and faithfully flourishing! She knows the rest will fall into place if she keeps moving forward and paying attention to the Godly nudges.

You might be wondering who this client was.  This client is me! Yes, this is my story and the process I self-coached myself through. This is a part of what I take my clients through today. It worked for me, and it works for them.

I am sharing my story because I know it might also be your story.   If the beginning of my story sounds familiar to your life story, I’d love to step into it and help you write the ending.  Let’s make the ending one you are excited about.  One that gives you joy and fulfillment and lets you see that YOU are where you are called to be!

If you are ready to get clarity on your calling and step into a brighter story before the end of 2022, reach out! I have 3 spots open to work with clients before the end of the year.  Are one of those spots meant for you?  If yes, send me a direct message at http://m.me/sheri.miter or an email at sheri@sherimiterco.com. Let’s see how we can work together!
